Healthcare Insurance Coordination

The DCMO BOCES Health Care Coordination Service consists of area school districts that are provided administrative assistance for health insurance issues as needed. The Health Care Coordination Service has dedicated an individual to be the liaison between the enrollee and the health insurance plan.

Services Provided

  • Monthly reconciliation of health insurance premium bills

  • Account management for Medicare Part D Subsidies for eligible districts

  • Provide consultations for health insurance plan research

  • Produce comprehensive comparisons of health insurance plans

  • Weekly/biweekly visits to districts

  • Preparation of legal documents such as, but not limited to, COBRA notices and yearly Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) notices

  • Claim assistance and consultations to plan participants

  • One-on-one health insurance plan review with plan participants

  • Provide informational meetings for retirees and active employees

  • Production and distribution of newsletters

  • Provide benefit guidance to employees anticipating retirement
