DCMO BOCES hosted the annual Legislative Breakfast at the Alan D. Pole Campus on Saturday. The event, organized by the Chenango County School Boards Association (CCSBA), is intended to facilitate dialogue between local legislators and school board members, and serves as an opportunity for local education leaders to share concerns and ideas with the government representatives. New York State Senator Peter Oberacker and Assemblyman Joseph Angelino attended, along with Jordan Fleming from New York State Senator Jeffrey Gallahan’s office. Fifteen school districts were represented at the event, along with DCMO BOCES board members, administrators and District Superintendent Michael Rullo.

A brunch buffet was prepared and served by students from the DCMO BOCES Culinary Arts program at both campuses, supervised by Chef Jeanni Romanowski and Human and Retail Services Instructor Nanette LaTourette.

Speakers included DCMO BOCES Board of Education President Vanessa Warren and member John Klockowski, as well as students Claire Sullivan, Olivia Hall and Brock Purdy from Bainbridge-Guilford Central School, who were introduced by Bainbridge-Guilford Board of Education member Mia Gray. The event provided a platform for meaningful discussions about education and student achievements, helping to strengthen relationships among the schools, legislators, and the community.
